I T A L Y

Mid-day riposo, a glass of local wine, lazy days lounging along the Tyrrhenian Sea — the charm of the Italian dolce vita is unparalleled. Whether you’re here to explore the ruins of Rome, sip spritzes in sun-soaked piazzas, or get blissfully lost in the Venetian canals, Italy is waiting for you.

I moved to southern Italy with dreams of slow mornings, seaside evenings, and a little more living. Now, I’m share everything I discover along the way: the quiet hilltop towns, the best bites of pasta, and the places that don’t make the guidebooks but absolutely should.

From the Alps to Sicily, this is your invitation to fall in love with Italy; whether it’s your first visit or your fifth.

Pro-ish Tips for Italy

• Learn a few phrases.
A little effort goes a long way! “Un tavolo per due,” “acqua naturale,” or even a simple “grazie” is always appreciated.

• Eat like a local.
A menu with pictures and plastic lamination? Keep walking. Instead, follow the locals.

• Pack light.
Unless you enjoy dragging a giant suitcase over cobblestones and up four flights of stairs, stick to a carry-on.

• Carry Cash.
Small towns will prefer cash, and some small shops won’t take card at all.

• Validate your tickets!
Train or bus, always validate before boarding. Skipping it could land you a hefty fine.

• Carry your passport.
Police can ask for ID without cause, and not having it means a long, boring trip to the questura. Don’t risk it!
