C R O A T I A
Wandering through old towns that feel straight out of a fantasy novel, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and taking in the breathtaking coastline. If this sounds like your cup of tea, Croatia should be at the top of your bucket list. I spent four short days in Dubrovnik with friends and fell completely in love with its medieval walls, orange-tiled rooftops, and the unbelievably blue Adriatic waters. The food scene is just as memorable (especially if you’re a meat lover) from savoury burek to sticky-sweet baklava, every bite is unforgettable.
Pro-ish Tips for Croatia
• Cash is still king
at least outside of the major cities, so bring a few euros with you if you plan to visit smaller towns.
• Bring water shoes
most of the beaches are rocky instead of sand — your feet will thank you!
• Pack light layers
even in the peak of summer, those Adriatic views come with some cool sea breezes.
